Yemi is a health financing and systems strengthening professional dedicated to supporting the progress countries are making towards UHC. She has a decade of combined experience in health financing consulting, health facility leadership, and healthcare service provision. Prior to joining Open Development as a Health Financing Advisor in 2022, Yemi worked at the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (CHAI) technically supporting the Ethiopian Ministry of Health and Health Insurance Services on priority projects focused on design and implementation of publicly financed health coverage schemes; resource mapping and expenditure tracking; private sector engagement in the health; and system strengthening for primary healthcare.

She is passionate about leveraging health financing approaches to improve quality service delivery, especially to the most vulnerable group in the population. She holds a Master of Science in Public Health with specialization in Health Economics from Umea University and a Doctor of Medicine from Addis Ababa University, School of Medicine.
